Hong Kong Police Scooters
WHO’S GOING GREEN ?
Hong Kong Police are supporting the green revolution by trialling the latest electric scooter manufactured by “VECTRIX”. in the USA.
We at Reflex Design International Ltd were asked to design and produce a new livery kit using REFLEXITE VC 312 DAYBRIGHT to compliment the already changing visual face of the vehicles used to police the City.
They have already adopted the recommended livery system used by a large proportion of the U.K. police authorities ( with necessary alterations to suit requirements for the City) and as their vehicles are replaced the new style will be incorporated gradually.
Vectrix U.K. ( the UK division of bike manufacturers) were very helpful in supporting us to achieve this task by providing a bike for the design and trial fit. The design team at Reflex were guiding by the transport division in Hong Kong led by Superintendant Jolly and together a design was agreed upon and detailed schematic drawings were forwarded via “e” mail for final ratification.
This completed, an order for a number kits was placed and the kits were sent via air freight in order for the engineering and electrical services division to complete the fit in time for the initial launch of the Hong Kong contribution to the Beijing Olympics.
Reflexite VC312Daybright has been chosen as the specified reflective livery due to its ease of application, it being able to be trimmed and fitted on site without the need for for expensive and time consuming edge sealing and its comprehensive warranty against fading and power washing.
